Byron has a PhD in biochemistry, and is a certified project manager. In his current role at Cybera, he not only manages projects, but also works with data, and delivers technology training to Albertans (and Canadians) of all ages. His proudest achievement at Cybera (so far) has been working with Callysto, and introducing new technologies and problem-solving approaches to grades 5-12 teachers and students. If he's not at his desk, you will find him running or spending time with his family.

In this introductory presentation, Cybera’s data science team will provide an overview of what you need to start a data science project, provide examples of local companies' data science journey, and discuss the data science development lifecycle using real-world examples.

This workshop is geared towards individuals in the manufacturing sector who are aware of data science and machine learning practices, and are looking to gain more knowledge of how to adopt and leverage them.

Attendees will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how to set the framework for a successful data science project.
