The Land and Economic Development (LED) department works with existing Red Deer businesses to help them thrive, expand, access new markets, and meet their labour needs. LED also attracts new businesses and investment into Red Deer, while focusing on economic diversification and creating a climate for economic growth and job creation. Furthermore, LED develops City land for Residential, Industrial and mixed-use purposes, with the goal of providing options for every type of developer.
